The partnership between the Government and civil society is crucial for good governance. Through the inclusion and active participation of stakeholders, the Government gains access to new sources of ideas, information, and resources that are important in the process of policy-making, decision-making, and the delivery of high-quality public services.
The main objective of OGP is to build public institutions that are transparent, participatory, accountable, and responsive to the needs of citizens.
The most significant benefit of this initiative is the obligation of public institutions, when preparing and implementing the commitments that are part of the national OGP action plans, to include civil society organizations and citizens and to cooperate with them.
Within public institutions and beyond them, there are people who work persistently and with dedication to initiate certain reforms which, through established processes, are not recognized as significant and therefore cannot be implemented.
OGP provides an opportunity for enthusiasts within public institutions and outside them to work together on implementing change.
This section of the portal provides a simple opportunity for involvement and active contribution by everyone who wishes to dedicate themselves to improving the functioning of the public sector and introducing new practices that have a positive impact on citizens’ lives.
